Spring 2025 Collaboration with Charles & Keith and Artist Robert Zhao

In Spring 2025, we partnered with Charles & Keith and renowned Singaporean artist Robert Zhao, whose work explores the resilience of secondary forests and nature in urban environments. Together, we created No. 46 Forest Echoes, an evocative scent inspired by Hong Kong’s untamed landscapes, for an immersive retail experience at Charles & Keith’s Fashion Walk store in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

Drawing from a week-long field trip in Hong Kong, Robert Zhao’s vision brought to life the city’s hidden biodiversity—capturing rare glimpses of civet cats, porcupines, and ‘Sea Cows’ (cows roaming freely by the beach). This inspired No. 46 Forest Echoes, crafted in two forms: a limited-edition wearable perfume (not yet available for purchase) and an ambient scent that enveloped the Charles & Keith Causeway Bay store for two weeks.

Composed of 45 meticulously selected ingredients, No. 46 Forest Echoes reflects Hong Kong’s unique flora, fauna, and coastal essence. At a special luncheon for Charles & Keith VIP guests, we hosted a scent exhibition, deconstructing 20 key elements of the fragrance to showcase the raw materials behind its creation. The scent’s layered notes—fresh leaves, evergreen foliage, sea breeze, moss, bitter green vine, cedarwood, smoky seashells, vetiver, leather, and ambergris—mirror the wild, often overlooked beauty of Hong Kong’s natural and urban interplay.

This collaboration blends art, fragrance, and retail innovation, creating an unforgettable sensory experience that celebrates nature’s resilience and Hong Kong’s vibrant spirit.
